 The Homeschool Place.com  is delighted to offer our customers a No-Interest, No-Fee Layaway Option to help you meet your Homeschooling Curriculum and Educational Supplies needs.

 We know that purchasing Curriculum and other needed school supplies can sometimes be a challenge.  To help you, and your budget, we are offering a 4-month layaway plan for your convenience. Our minimum layaway order is $100.00 (US dollars), before sales tax and/or shipping charges. A simple 20% down payment of your total order will hold your order for up to 4 months. This deposit will be considered as your first payment for the first month. You will have 4 months from the original invoice date to pay the remaining balance due. (We recommend you pay at least 33% of the remaining balance each month so the balance is paid in full within the 4-month Layaway period.)

 For example: Total Invoice, minus Down Payment, divided by 3 remaining layaway months = Recommended Monthly Payment. 

Therefore, if your order (including applicable sales tax*, and shipping charges) is $200.00 (US dollars), the minimum 1st payment /non-refundable deposit is $40.00 (US dollars). Then three consecutive monthly payments of $53.33 each (that‘s only $13.33 per week) ,  will insure that your layaway is paid in full within the 120 day period.

» Our Layaway policy

We must strictly enforce this policy or we will not be able to offer a "layaway" program for our customer's convenience.

·        Merchandise may be placed on layaway for up to 4 months.

·       Our layaway option requires a 20% deposit to start your HomeschoolPlace.com layaway program, and minimum of three subsequent  monthly payments. Payments may be made by Visa, Master Card, Pay Pal, Cash*, Money Order, Personal Check**, Bank Check, or Certified Check.

               *If you prefer to mail in your payments, you may do so, but we will not put your merchandise on "layaway" until the first payment (20% of total order) is received. Please be advised that some of the limited edition and clearance merchandise may sell out before we receive your first payment. To place an order on "layaway" by mail, please print “Mail-In Layaway” in Cart Comment section, and mail a copy of your order along with your 20% deposit as soon as possible.  WE DO NOT RECOMMEND SENDING CASH THROUGH THE MAIL!

·        You decide what you can pay per week or per month, but a minimum payment of  $20.00 per month must be paid to keep your layaway account open.  No interest or service fees will be charged as long as your balance is paid in full by the end of the 120 day lay-away term. 

·        Deposits paid to reserve items are nonrefundable once your order has been placed.

·        If paying by Money Order, Bank Check, or Certified Check  your order will promptly ship upon receipt of final payment. If paying by Credit Card, or Pay Pal, your order will ship upon clearance by Merchant Account.

·        All prices are listed in US dollars.

·        You may pay off your layaway anytime before the due date with no penalty.

·        You will receive an initial statement with your balance and due date by Email. Updated monthly statements are sent out by Email only upon receipt of payment. (Please make sure that your Email is accurate as this is the ONLY method we use to notify you of received payments and due dates.)

·        Please be sure to add info at TheHomeschoolPlace.com  to your “Approved Recipient” Email List so you can receive statements. (Note: Please change the word 'at' to @)

·        All items put on layaway will be billed at current price at time of layaway. If that item goes on sale during your layaway period, you are still responsible for the price of the item(s) at time of  layaway.  SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Conversely, if the price of layaway items goes up, you will still be billed at the original price at time of layaway.  (This assures you that your purchase is “locked in” at the original price and will not be increased, even if the publisher's price goes up.)

·        No partial takeouts are permitted.  If you will need portions of your order  at different times, we suggest that you make  separate orders and layaway plans with staggered ending dates.  Or pay one layaway plan off early and receive your merchandise when each plan is paid in full.

·        Cancelled or forfeited layaway orders will incur a $10.00 service charge, a $10.00 restocking fee, and forfeiture of the 20% non-refundable deposit.

·        It is the responsibility of you,  the customer, to ensure that the outstanding balance is paid in full within the 4 month holding limit. If layaway payments have not been completed within 4 months, you will be notified, via Email, of delinquency, and have one final opportunity to pay off the balance within a 7 days  grace period. If the balance is not paid by this time, your layaway will be considered forfeited, your layaway will be terminated, and the above fees will be charged.

·        Orders cancelled after 3rd month (after initial 20% down, and 2 months payments), will forfeit  50% of everything paid up to that time, as well as being charged a $10.00 service charge, and a $10.00 restocking fee.

·        A new layaway can not be accepted if payments on current layaway(s) are in arrears.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING OUR "LAYAWAY" PROGRAM:

• A minimum of $20.00 per month (just $5.00 per week) will hold your merchandise and keep your layaway account open.  (Please note: If your layaway payment is 7 days overdue, you will receive a cancellation notice.  This notice must be paid within 3 days or your layaway plan will be cancelled and additional cancellation/forfeiture charges applied.) 

• Payments may be made by Credit Card (Visa or Master Card), Pay Pal, Money Order, Personal Check, Bank Check, Certified Check, or Cash (Not recommended for “Mail-In” Orders.  This option is for use at Conventions, Book Fairs, Homeschool Meetings, etc. ).

• If you would like, we can apply your payment to your credit card every month, on a predetermined day/date (decided by you), for one-third (1/3) of the total invoice, after initial 20% payment,  until paid in full.  We must have your signature on file to do this and your approval must be put in writing for each layaway plan you open. 

• We will hold your ordered merchandise in "layaway" for a maximum period of 4 months. If the payment terms, stated above, have not been met by the customer in that time, (and no other previous arrangements have been made by the customer and agreed upon by The Homeschool Place.com), a $10.00 service charge, and a $10.00 restocking fee will be charged, and the 20% non-refundable deposit, as well as  all merchandise held in "layaway",  will be forfeited by the customer to The Homeschool Place. com.   Payments, minus above mentioned forfeiture/cancellation charges, may be used for store credit or refunded; your choice. Credits are not transferable.

• Orders cancelled after 3rd month (After initial 20% down, and 2 months payments), will forfeit  50% of everything paid up to that time, as well as being charged a $10.00 service charge, and a $10.00 restocking fee.

 If the layaway option is chosen... please adhere to the time allotted for your layaway. If the payments are not made on time and/or the balance is not paid by the balance due date, we will put the item(s) back in stock which will result in forfeiture of down payment and charging of additional service and restocking fees. 

Your acceptance of this form via submittal to TheHomeschoolPlace.com is a binding contract. Your Email address serves as your signature to accept these terms. The terms stated herein are the only accepted terms of this contract.
